Shwapno, Bangladesh’s largest superstore chain, has shipped its first shipment to Hong Kong. It began its export voyage on March 31, 2022. The second batch was sent out on May 15, 2022. The first cargo featured pointed gourds, ladyfingers, green mangoes, potatoes, and bitter gourds, among other vegetables and fruits. So, the article is about Shwapno’s First-ever Export Shipment Reached Hong Kong.
Saiful Alam, Shwapno’s Team Leader and Export Initiative Consultant said, “Shwapno’s first shipment that arrived in Hong Kong included Bottle Gourds that are Global G.A.P. Certified. Even though we have exported other things in the past, we have added mangoes to our export category this time. We exported 100 kg of ‘Gobindobhog’ mangoes to Hong Kong. We accomplished this with the aid of Solidarity Network Asia.”
He added, “Shwapno is the first retail member of GLOBAL G.A.P. in South East Asia. In addition, the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Feeds the Future initiative has fully supported our efforts to secure safe food for global consumers. As a result, Shwapno will now export seven different products to countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Australia, the United States of America, and the United Kingdom,” he said.
