Some of us are really lucky to have real hold-the-lifeboat-for-me friends. The ones who’ll rush to our house late in the night because we’re sad or sick. The ones who’ll help us heal after a breakup and cancel their plans because we just need them. This is why we may totally share the joy of our favorite celebs, who have a friendly bond so strong that it cannot be broken by the weirdest things that sometimes happen in showbiz.

Here at Bright Side, we were in awe of the connection that these two talented people have. We’d love for you to take a look at how Lady Gaga and Elton John managed to keep their relationship at its warmest, and how they inspired many people to follow their example.

The bond was born like a spark a long time ago.

Sir Elton John and Lady Gaga have a lot of similarities that may have made their friendship meant to be.

Both are extremely talented performers and songwriters who can boast global success. They’re also famous for their vibrant live performances and intricate taste in fashion.

It’s no wonder that this duo has become close friends since they first met more than a decade ago. It happened when they performed together at the Grammy Awards. The pair performed Lady Gaga’s song “Speechless” while interweaving Elton John’s “Your Song.”

The duo radiates care and adoration towards each other.

After their debut performance together, the duo became really inseparable. Their common performances are a huge delight for both of them. It’s been reported that Elton John once joined in on their episode on Gaga Radio, and there was nothing but mutual adoration between them.

Lady Gaga often says that John seems to always call her at exactly the right time, he feels when she’s feeling down. She lovingly calls him “Daddy E.” Elton responds to this with the words “I know you inside out.”

The duo plays an important part not only in each other’s lives but in others too.

It was in 2011 that John Elton and his husband, David Furnish, appointed Lady Gaga to be the godmother to their firstborn son, Zachary. John first announced the news in a very intricate manner.

He said: “For those of you concerned that we are unusual parents, do not worry. It’s not like we are the only two people involved in the child’s life. His godmother is Lady Gaga. That’s true, that’s not a joke… which is ironic because I’ve always said Mars ain’t the kind of place to raise your kids. And Gaga loves Mars. She says Mars had good schools and great discos.”

Elton John and Lady Gaga seem to be a real family.

When John and Furnish’s second son, Elijah, was born, Gaga became his godmother too. Bothe kids now lovingly call her Gaga-Mother.

In his interview John says: “I admire everything about her. She’s been a great godmother so far to Zachary.” And then he told a story about Gaga bathing Zachary once in Las Vegas, dressed to go to her show, singing and reading to the boy to put him to sleep. Now that’s a real friendship!
